Workshop on the Sustainable Environment October 29 and 30 at UC San Diego

Overview:

A UK-US Workshop on the Sustainable Environment will be held at the University of California, San Diego on October 30-31, 2007. The participants will be 20 academics from the four universities of the SETsquared Partnership (Bath, Bristol, Southampton, and Surrey), 15 from UC Irvine, and 15 from UC San Diego.

This Workshop is sponsored through the two-year UK-US Science Bridge Program between the SETsquared Partnership and UC Irvine/UC San Diego, funded by the UK Office of Science and Innovation. The UC San Diego Environment and Sustainability Initiative will host the Workshop.

The Workshop will focus on the following six themes:

  • Alternative Fuels

  • Buildings

  • Transportation

  • Greenhouse Gas

  • Water & Climate

  • Air Quality
