On October 29, 2007, ESI partnered with United Green to host the founder of Architecture 2030 Edward Mazria. His presentation, “Nation Under Siege,” unveiled a new study of sea level rise that included fly-over 3D images depicting the potentially calamitous coastal and national impacts if climate changes were to continue unabated. Mazria described the Architecture 2030 project which promotes energy efficiency in new and existing buildings. Mazria’s remarks were followed by a brief presentation by California Lieutenant Governor John Garamendi.

Additional collaborators included the American Institute of Architects San Diego Chapter, California Center for Sustainable Energy, San Diego Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council and San Diego EarthWorks.
